Dorine comes from a polycross of plants selected in Barenbrug’s breeding lines with special focus on persistency, autumn re-growth, lodging resistance and disease tolerance.
This semi-dormant variety is very high yielding at each cut. Dorine can be used under frequent cutting system (6 –7 cuts / year ) or in normal frequency of cuts (4-5 cuts). Dorine has a very regular yield for all the cuts and has a wide adaptation. It has a very good diseases resistance and excellent persistency. Dorine is known to be a very palatable variety with high feeding value.
Trials result in France :
Dorine was released from Barenbrug’s breeding programme for semi-non-dormant varieties and shows high adaptation to the South European climatic conditions. Dorine has been tested in France thoroughly with good results:
