Late variety perfect under difficult conditions

Meltador is a new tetraploid variety from Barenbrug and listed in several countries since 2010. It can be characterized by a high dry matter yield, outstanding disease resistance and perfect persistency. In Germany this variety has been rated with an “M-recommendation”, which proves it suitability for difficult conditions. Besides that, Meltador shows a dense sward and very late heading. Therefor it’s suitable to use in mixtures for both grazing- as silage purposes.

Leading in The Netherlands

All grass varieties are tested in official trials in The Netherland, at several locations under both grazing- as cutting-management. At the Recommended List Meltador has been rated the No.1 variety for dry matter yield in 2012. On top of that, its notes for persistency, crown rust resistance and winterhardiness are outstanding. This shows that Barenbrug’s Meltador is a perfect solution for the modern farmer.
