Barenbrug appoints Managing Director

Mr Jos van der Wielen has been appointed Managing Director of Barenbrug Holland BV as of 1 May 2011. As such, he will focus on the further international growth of the enterprise. The company’s core business is plant breeding, seed production and the marketing of innovative grasses and fodder crops for several domestic markets and a large number of export markets in Europe.    

Jos van der Wielen (47) has broad experience in the international seed industry. He was Business Manager for Flowers at Syngenta Seeds BV from 2006. Under his management, the Flowers Netherlands/Belgium/Scandinavia division generated substantial and stable growth. From 1990 to 2006, Jos van der Wielen also worked for Barenbrug Holland BV, holding various positions including Head of Export and was a member of the management team.
