A finales de septiembre los mejores jugadores de golf de Europa y de los Estados Unidos competirán por la Ryder Cup en Le Golf National en París. Y lo harán sobre el césped mas fuerte del mundo.

El evento de golf más importante del mundo, con los mejores jugadores de esta disciplina se jugará sobre un césped especial, una mezcla de Ray-Grass Inglés con tallos horizontales únicos. Esto garantiza una superficie perfecta, así como una condición del terreno favorable para un control óptimo de la pelota al momento del golpe y durante su recorrido por el campo.

Un greenkeeper ambicioso sabe que elegir
Hace algunos años, Alejandro Reyes, superintendente de Le Golf National descubrió el césped que se regenera por sí mismo (traducido como: regenerating grass)RPR de Barenbrug durante una visita al campo de golf The Dutch en los Países Bajos. La fina estructura única de las hojas del césped lo cautivó y quiso tener los mismos foregreens,los tees, los foreways y los semiroughs en su campo de golf. Después de la primera prueba, donde se sembró RPR en una de las calles del campo, decidió sembrarlo en todos los hoyos de Le Golf National.

"Es impresionante ver lo rápido que el RPR se regenera por sí mismo", mencionó Alejandro."Reparamos las chuletas únicamente nivelando la superficie del campo con arena. Después de diez días no se encuentra rastro de daño alguno:el césped se ha regenerado completamente."

At the end of September, the top golfers from Europe and the United States will commence play at the Le Golf National in Paris to compete for the Ryder Cup 2018. On the world's strongest grass.

Ambitious greenkeeper convinced

Alejandro Reyes, head greenkeeper at Le Golf National, discovered Barenbrug's regenerating grass (RPR) a few years ago during a visit to golf course The Dutch in the Netherlands. The unique, fine-leaved structure of the turf he saw was exactly what he wanted on his forgreens, tees, fairways and semi-roughs. After an initial trial that involved overseeding RPR on one fairway, he had all the holes at the Le Golf National overseeded with the same mixture.

“The speed of recovery of RPR is quite amazing”, says Alejandro. “We repair the divots just by sanding to level the surface. And after ten days there's nothing more to be seen. It recovers and regenerates completely."
