Bluemuda®
Barenbrug Bluemuda is the grass concept that provides the most sustainable solution for the transition zone in Europe. In this zone both warm and cool season grasses are active.The combination of bermudagrass - Cynodon dactylon (warm season grass) with Resilient Blue® grass technology (cool season grass) offers the solution for bermudagrass that is permanently green all year round.
Bermudagrasses are largely used in warmer climate zones to withstand dry and hot circumstances. The downside is that once the temperature drops below 15° Celsius, bermudagrass becomes dormant. The grass pitch loses all its color and more importantly: grasses are not able to recover from wear. Overseeding with Resilient Blue Muda will solve the problem of a non-playable bermuda pitch -permanently!
